Save the Date! Authors for Indies #SundayBlogShare #CanLit #writing

Authors for Indies DayHello lovely blog folk!authors for indies day 2015 3

Did you know that Saturday April 30th is Authors for Indies Day?!!

Don’t know what Authors for Indies Day is?

Well, I can’t put it better than this:

“On Authors for Indies Day, Canadian authors show our appreciation for independent bookstores (indies) by volunteering as guest booksellers […] We’ll be chatting with customers, recommending books, and helping everyone appreciate the importance of indie bookstores to our communities and our cultural lives. It’s not about promoting ourselves, it’s about raising awareness of Canada’s independent bookstores.”

For more information, please visit their website and have fun digging around the inspirational stories found there:

I’ll be doing a shift at Octopus Books (116 Third Avenue in the Glebe) from 1:30 – 2:30, so don’t be a stranger. Instead be the cool, in-the-know bookish person that you are and drop by. I’d love to chat books with you.

If you feel like spreading the word, thanks in advance!

Always nice to see you here,

A :-)

    1. Now that would have been the best!! I would have loved that too. I hope to have some pics to post after the event. Sigh, not quite the same though, is it! Ha ha. :-) Thanks, Lynne!

    1. Doesn’t it? I wanted to participate last year but my novella wasn’t published yet. Hope to have some pics to post after the event, so we’ll see. :-)

  1. What a fun experience! I think it would be so neat if every author did this, once in awhile! Indie Authors are amazing and we need to keep the support high and consistant to bring awareness to the readers out of the world! Some of my favorite books were written by an indie author! Have a terrific time doing this and I hope people will have an opportunity to purchase your books while they are out shopping!!!!

    1. Oh Kendra, you’re the best! I wish you could be there too. :-) It’s going to be a fun afternoon and I hope to post-event a recap! Thanks for visiting, mon amie! XO
